New Features Give Kall8 Customers More Control
SEATTLE, Wash. - May 26, 2005 - Kall8 customers can now set up answer lines using the hosted telephone service because of a recently added feature.
Kall8 enhanced its revolutionary telephone service with Maximum Call Length. It allows customers to limit the amount of time an answered call is connected and limit the length of the caller’s voice mail message. By setting a limit of zero (0) for voice mail message length, customers can have their Kall8 numbers play their greetings and disconnect the call.
“This allows businesses and others to simply offer an answer line for their customers’ convenience,” said Kall8 Marketing Manager Bill Johnson. “We see a wide number of businesses and others that can make use of this handy new feature.”
For example, ski resorts can set up toll-free or local numbers for ski conditions and hours of operation; theaters can offer show time and information hotlines; restaurants can set up hotlines offering their daily specials; employers could establish information lines about daily job postings.
“Businesses on tight budgets can offer customers a way to get information via toll-free calls without extending the calls beyond providing the customers with pre-recorded information,” Johnson said.
“When businesses want to offer their customers more contact options, the Maximum Call Length feature still gives them the ability to limit the amount of time each customer spends on their toll-free numbers,” he added. “With that control, businesses can offer toll-free numbers and still protect their budgets.”
Kall8 also recently added another function to its premium call recording feature, called Notes. When reviewing recorded calls online, Kall8 customers can attach personal messages or reminders to the call recording in real-time. The Notes feature displays text along with the recorded call data, and the call notes share the time and date stamp of the call for easy reference.
“You can use the Notes feature to create a visual flag, or text summary of a call, or create an alert message for high-priority customers,” Johnson said. “You can edit or delete your Notes, too, so keeping the status of a customer request update to-date is a snap. Every approved user can amend, append, add or delete a Note. That’s great for organizations with multiple users or cross-departmental access to call recordings.”
Johnson said Notes and Maximum Call Length are part of Kall8’s continual process of responding to customer needs to make the hosted telephone service even more useful. Several more exciting changes and new features will be announced in the coming months, he added.
Kall8 is a hosted telephone service offering toll-free and local numbers that businesses and others can provide. For as little as a $2 set-up fee and $2 a month service fee, they can establish a Kall8 number that will be toll-free for customers. There’s no equipment to buy, no software to install, no contract to sign. All Kall8 users need is a dial tone. With an existing Internet connection, they may self-manage their toll-free number online.
